OUR HISTORY

Prakash and Paresh started out by leasing and managing 4 hotels that their father Jayantibhai Patel owned in Santa Cruz, California in 1979. In 1981/82 they built their first motel in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This success was followed by the Best Western King City in 1985, Best Western Colony Inn in 1986 and the Best Western Inn in Ontario, Oregon in 1989.

The award winning Comfort Inn in Klamath Falls was completed in 1990. The Super 8 in Ontario, Oregon was built in 1991; succeed by Best Western Rama Inn in Lincoln City, Oregon and Super 8 in Santa Cruz in 1993. The year 1995 saw the inclusion of the Olympic Lodge in Klamath Falls, Oregon and a Super 8 in Santa Cruz, California.

Further expanding the company, the Super 8 in Yreka and the Best Western Rama Inn in Oakdale were constructed in 1996. The Holiday Inn brand was added to the portfolio when the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Paso Robles opened in 2000 and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Watsonville opened its doors in 2001.

The Microtel Inn in Salinas, California in 2001 and the Hawthorn Suites LTD, San Jose Airport in 2002 are the latest additions to the company. Work is underway for the new Sleep Inn to open on Montague Expressway in San Jose, scheduled to open in 2003 and another project in the pipeline is the Holiday Inn Express in Hollister, California, scheduled to open by 2004.

Under the watchful guidance of their father, Prakash & Paresh have earned a reputable name in the industry as leaders and role models for newer entrepreneurs. Even with their hands full with managing all their properties, Prakash and Paresh find time to actively participate in their community and shoulder responsibilities with charitable contructions
projects and events.
