                                                                             Lotus Management, Inc. Announces 40th Anniversary
June 25, 2019, San Jose, CA  -  Lotus Management Inc, a hotel Management and Development Company, is marking their 40th year in the industry with a refreshed, modern company logo, representing the future whilst honoring the founders’ original company logo from 1979.  In the
last 40 years, Lotus Management, Inc. has created, developed, and operated quality hotel lodging establishments including brands of Marriott International, IHG Hotels, Choice Hotels, Best Western and independent motels throughout California, Oregon and Nevada.

The company originated in San Francisco in 1971 when J.C. Patel and Sumati Patel purchased a 102 room hotel in downtown San Francisco. In 1974, family members Prakash and Paresh joined their parents in the hotel industry, which then acquired five additional hotels, four in Santa Cruz, CA and one in Reno, NV.  Under the family leadership, Lotus Management, Inc. was incorporated in 1979 where the expansion of hotels flourished. During 1982, Lotus Management, Inc. began development and construction, allowing for expansion of existing and purchased hotels. Continued growth of the company’s portfolio included real estate purchase in retail and rental units through Oregon and California. From humble beginnings, Prakash and Paresh turned a business dream into one that has flourished to become a multi-million dollar hotel development and management company.

Over the decades that followed, Lotus Management, Inc. added hotels and development projects in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, King City, Atascadero, Watsonville, Salinas, Lodi, Yreka, Oakdale, Paso Robles, San Jose, Cathedral City, Oroville, Santa Maria, Porterville, Lathrop, Scotts Valley and Chico California; and, Ontario, Lincoln City and Klamath Falls, Oregon. Currently, the company flag-ship hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Santa Cruz, CA is under construction.

J.C Patel passed away July, 2014.  As an accolade to the company founder, Lotus Management, Inc. established “Lotus Foundation,” a supports of charitable projects designed at advancing social welfare through funding and promoting the project's initiatives. To date, Lotus Foundation, provides construction supplies for village schools, which will facilitate opportunities for learning in
Africa, India, and the United States; partners with Tenderloin Housing to acquire and coordinate residential housing for low-income households; coordinates group volunteer efforts for charitable community programs for various events; coordinates youth hostel accommodations for students seeking higher education by matching students abroad and in the United States with residential accommodations; identifies and assist villages in need of sanitation and clean water through implementation procedures of infrastructure; and,  funding of the Hindu Temples youth classroom projects.
